| Frequently
Asked Questions |
| |
| Does
the water need to be pumped or drained before repairs begin?
|
No,
with the water main shut off, you will still have water coming
out
of the broken riser. This is the best time to change the broken
riser, with
water coming out debris cannot fall in to the main line. |
|
| How do you
keep debris from falling into the water line? |
When
doing any digging have Riserench inserted into line for plug.
Before
removing broken fitting place 6 inch collar over 3 inch piece
that is to be removed. |
|
How do I know
if the Riserench is at the proper depth for removal of
threaded fitting? |
With
the jaws retracted the Riserench sits at the proper depth
automatically. |
|
| What maintenance
does the Riserench require? |
It is
recommended to clean and oil the jaw twice per season and
before
storing for winter. |
|
| If the rubber
O-ring breaks can the jaws fall out and be lost? |
No, the
jaws are designed to only be taken out internally. O-ring
can be
replaced by ordering it through Riserench. |
